Hello one and all and welcome to my exec blog, love having to recall and awful week for myself but not to worry the tennis club still did great as ever.
Guess it’s best to start with Wednesday:
The women’s 2s played a hard-fought match against top of their league Nottingham Trent unfortunately it was not to be for them this week but don’t worry at least your degrees aren’t from the early learning centre.
Grace commenced on a cross continental trip (total of 7hrs driving I hear) to UEA to continue top of THE leagues™ undefeated run.
The mens 3s also enjoyed a big win against Leicester 1s but I’m sure everyone already knew that with the large crowds of people watching the matches.
Social play also happened was a joyous and well attended event as ever, probably because I had to leave half way through with my failure to realise the difference between 14 and 4pm.
Comic book characters circle followed, I had a little incident with a badly washed out spray bottle of flash and an upset stomach. Will certainly had plenty of opportunities to celebrate his birthday, including diving head first through a tower of sailings empty cups. Otherwise we raised over £100 for charity and was an all-round good night for those of us who didn’t decide to drink bleach.
Friday radio show had a great chat with Marcus, Will, and Claire all appearing as guests, discussing many things, mostly ASMR.
Sunday saw social play with greater numbers than ever, was a very exhausting session with our internal events, having to refuel on the many lost calories at maccies on the way home.
Otherwise the womens team went on a little trip to Brighton this weekend Alice was pleased to report there was a pommel horse competition (don’t worry you’re all just as confused as I am), Rachael got “absolutely buzz lightyeared for 48hrs” clearly doppleganger circle had a profound effect on her. And Alice obliterated her groin “standing up on the train”.
Finally, buy your Awards dinner tickets, the menu has been released and its incredible mostly because I put it together. It a great night, good opportunity to dress up who doesn’t like that. And I promise the awards are funny not dull, I may even try and get a special guest in to announce them.
Love from your ever cheerful exec.
