TERM 3 WEEK 1
New term, new everything.
A very belated welcome back to Warwick, I am sure you are all enjoying term 3 as much as I am.
Firstly, for those of you unaware (living under a rock / in Canley) UWTC went to Badalona for international tour. Can confirm Badalona is a real place despite my initial surprise at the Little Britainesque name.
Many exciting things happened on tour, some people have better memories of some nights than others and certain people (Ollie Heath, Conor Warnock-Horn, Jamie Brown) will have certain incidents scarred into their memory forever. Highlights included the Nou Camp, lots of tennis on clay, Gin Lemons and the Spanish emergency health service. Many thanks to Alex Reed for steadying the ship throughout the week and organising tour.
Circle returned with new but familiar faces in the middle, with Battle and Zulu debuting their new social sec statuses!
The verdict of this week’s circle:
Arjun – got the privilege of wearing wet shoes, despite not winning a gamble or having to drink
Cam and Ronak – getting to drink out of Arjun’s shoes
20 + 1 – Appears you can now double a double, triple a triple or say the wrong number and still not have to drink
Unfortunately, Wednesday’s social play was officially rained off after ten minutes. Sunday however finally allowed the new Internal Events duo Kraven and Ollie to show off their abilities.
Sunday also saw UWTC branching out into new sporting talents, entering two teams in Warwick Volleyball’s charity tournament to raise money and awareness for child.org. A review from Ryan Argent claimed that the day was “well good actually”. One team got through to the cup, whereas apparently Ryan’s team just went “for fun”. Shout outs given to Arjun for taking one straight to the face and Tyrell’s shot of the day “When he came out of nowhere and smashed the ball for a clean winner”.
Let’s just hope week 2 has as much to offer…
